Everyday life, metal objects
Various metal objects such as jewellery and coins in everyday usage appeared. For example sculptured in bronze were the heads of Erot, Atis, Silenus and Medusa. These were useful and decorative objects which were sewn to clothing. Jewellery was made from gold, silver, bronze, ivory, amber and glass paste. Most often could be seen hairpins, earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, rings, fibulae, pendants and belt fasteners.
Specifically representative were bone hairpins which finished in the shape of a male or female. The most widely known type of Roman-provincial fibulae was the so-called AVCISSA, a fasten originating in the northern Italian area of Aquileia, Trieste, from where it became popular in this area. Along with this the squared and omega fibulae appear.
