The 9th century BC
From the first phase of the Iron Age several graves are known which confirm the workshop production of metal forms of jewellery. Among them are curved necklaces and brooches (fibulae).
Arched fibulae without a bulge on the arch are also prominent, two-part serpent-like fibulae of the Adriatic type with a needle ending in a round head with a spike and spiral spectacle fibulae. They were very popular in Liburnia and were worn by men, women and children. Most of them were found in Nin and the surrounding area, and they lasted until the 4th century.
